What is an Online Business Manager/Virtual Assistant?
An Online Business Manager is a business owner and independent contractor who works personally with clients in a collaborative, one-on-one relationship of ongoing business management and administrative support. I am a business administrative expert who keeps my clients' businesses organized, running smoothly and moving forward. I help business owners and attorneys by providing business administrative and project management assistance to multiple clients remotely.
How would using an Online Business Manager/Virtual Assistant instead of a part-time or full-time employee benefit my business?
Working with an Online Business Manager is an affordable alternative to hiring a regular employee. When you contract with a consultant, you pay only for the time and legal/administrative services you need. There are no overhead costs, taxes, paid benefits, training or downtime like if you hired a full-time employee. Delegating administrative tasks to a Business Manager frees up your time to focus on activities that have a direct impact on your business.
Do you have a team that supports you?
As the owner of AB Virtual Assistance, I, Ashley Black, work directly with you. I will only commit to projects that can be delivered based on my current workload, availability and my level of expertise.

How is the time spent on my projects tracked?
You are billed only for the time spent working on your business projects. Toggl allows me to clock in and out on every assignment, and the clock stops for any breaks or interruptions. At the end of every billing cycle, I will provide you with an detailed invoice showing how time on your project was spent. I will keep a running total of your hours and include a time report with your invoice. If you are running out of time, I will notify you ahead of time.
When and how often do you invoice?
For hourly and flat rate clients, invoices are emailed via PayPal on the first of each month for the prior month’s services. For clients who have chosen a monthly package plan, fees are due before start of services. Time will be used in 15 minute increments until all hours are used. Any unused hours will expire after ninety (90) days.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept payment via PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account. PayPal accepts all major credit & debit cards, checks, and bank accounts. I also accept payments as transfers through Zelle, and accept credit cards through a direct link included on the invoice. Checks or money orders are also gladly accepted.
What are your payment policies?
Charges are due immediately and are past due within 15 days of the original invoice date. A late payment reminder will be sent and a late charge of $25 will be added after 15 days. Work for the next month will not begin until work for the prior month’s services has been paid in full.
What if I no longer need your services?
A two-week written notice is all that is required. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel your services any time before your next billing cycle. Just send me an email regarding the changes and I'll adjust your plan accordingly.
Do you have samples of your work?
Certainly! Please contact me for work samples.
